Little Christmas Eve kicks off the most magical block of the holiday season, the three days leading up to and encompassing Christmas. Each of these days has a special feeling that’s hard to describe, an ineffable joie de vivre unique to this time of year. Today, that joy is palpable as we visit friends, deliver last-minute gifts and cookies, and soak in the lively bustle of the final countdown to Christmas. There’s a distinct energy to this day: a mix of anticipation, cheer, and just a touch of panic as the hours tick down. As we participate in the excitement and see evidence of others doing the same—arms full of packages, the sound of laughter, homes glowing with festive lights—our hearts are filled with gratitude for the shared spirit of the season, traffic jams and mall parking lots notwithstanding.
